SSC with respect to Army means Short Service Commission. By clearing the SSC exam and subsequently interview u will be hired by Indian army for 5 years. The job can be converted into Permanent Commission after comletion of 5 years or u could be granted retirement but this is on the discretion of the armed forces. I think, but i am not sure, that women are granted only short service and not Permanent commission by Indian army..
